Located along the scenic bluffs of the Missouri River, Peters Orchards, Inc. of Waverly, Missouri, has been growing apples for over 115 years.
What started in 1908 as a small dry goods store and orchard has grown into a thriving 500-acre orchard, packinghouse and market. Founder Hermann Peters would be proud of what the 5 generations of family and employees have done and proceed to do. Peters Orchards is proud of the tradition he started so long ago, and they continue to give consumers safe, quality apples and peaches they can enjoy.
The Peters and Campbell families invite you to come visit their seasonal market and thank you for supporting local and family businesses like theirs. Orchard production generally goes from mid-July to the end of November. In addition to retail and wholesale apples and peaches, Peters Market features other locally-grown produce in season, such as fruit butters and jams made locally, cider, honey, sorghum, salsas, nuts, snack mixes and more. And don’t forget their homemade apple cider doughnuts during apple season. Additionally, there is a free kids’ playground and picnic area on-site.
Check the Peters Market website or Facebook page for the ripening schedule.
